Come hear the Trantham Family December 3rd.
The Trantham Family will perform a Traditional Appalachian Christmas with Rob and Ann Lowe at HART theater December 3 at 7 PM.
The Trantham Family carries on a musical tradition spanning generations in Western North Carolina. An accomplished hammered dulcimer and banjo player, Doug Trantham grew up playing mountain music with his father, Jim Trantham, a local instrument builder and ballad singer. Doug and Amy Trantham's children Emily, Adam and Sara began performing and recording with their father as soon as they could walk.
The hammered dulcimers, mountain dulcimers and banjos heard on these recordings are hand made. You are encouraged to see Doug Trantham and the Trantham Family at shows in and around Waynesville, NC. Doug Trantham also performs locally with The J Creek Boys. Recordings are available for download through Itunes, CD Baby, and other digital download sites.
